I have studied Integrative Biology at Harvard University for the past four years, with foundations beginning in highschool where I recieved a national Biology scholar award and an A in AP Biology. At ... Harvard, I recieved Highest Honors for Integrative Biology, and was graded "Excellent" on my senior thesis. Along with extensive knowledge and expertise from my courses, I also participated in self led microbiology research funded by the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology. I have recieved a total of $7000 in grant money towards funded research. During my self led research, facilitated through the Davis Lab at Harvard University, I created sampling schemes, processed samples, designed multivariate analysis schemes, and wrote the code for a final report with the intent to publish. Hello, my name is Richard Aguirre, although I usually go by my middle name, Aiden. I am a recent graduate from Harvard University where I concentrated in Integrative Biology with research expertise in... microbiology. I have been tutoring since highschool, as a National Honor Society tutor, with my recent experience being instructing students as a tutor for the Harvard Academies. I have always gone about teaching students with the mentality that everyone's individual position is different and that lessons must be crafted with the experience and learning style of the student in mind. Being a tutor while simultaneous being a student showed me how valuable this idea is, and I have learned to craft lesson plans individualized to individual students. My students will recieve lessons designed specifically for them. I also come from a diverse background of experiences, which I believe adds a unique expertise to my teaching style. I grew up on a farm, which inspired a love for the outdoors and nature which I hold to this day. I enjoy backpacking and hiking whenever I can get the chance.
