I am in my third year at UCSC where I major in Spanish Studies: language and linguistics. I am a trilingual student with Spanish being my first language. I was raised in only Spanish-speaking househol... d where I was taught to fluently read, write, and speak the language. I graduated high school with the seal of biliteracy and the medal of valedictorian which was given to me for being in the top 10% of the graduating class 2021. I have always been passionate about Spanish due to it being a major part of my identity. I enjoy researching various Spanish dialects and the sociolinguistic effects that can occur within the language.
