Mr. Popovich has mentored me in Music Production and Ableton Live for over 5 years. His musical expertise and friendly teaching manner sets him apart from all other teachers I’ve encountered in my musical career. Mr. Popovich is the best teacher for music production, both for beginners and advanced producers. When I first started class with him, I had almost no prior musical knowledge or experience, yet he had no trouble adapting his teaching style to best fit my learning capabilities for the time. He always provided concise feedback on all my song projects and always demonstrated a highly enthusiastic attitude when I would ask for his guidance. His approach to teaching music for all genres and styles for people of any background is another excellent demonstration of his adaptability as an educator. Many of the techniques that Mr. Popovich has demonstrated to me on creating ideas with Ableton Push Controllers and arranging in Ableton Live still stick with me now. By the time I was wrapping up my time with Mr. Popovich to transition into college for Popular Music, I had enough of an advanced knowledge in music production to earn myself swift acceptance into the major. Through him, I have also been connected to several individuals in the Phoenix local music industry who have further expanded my background, showing how he goes beyond simply teaching how a program works. Without Mr. Popovich, I am certain I would not be in the same place with music as I am today or have been inspired by him to pursue my degree in Popular Music. Anybody considering taking music production courses for either a career or hobby should put Mr. Popovich at the top of their list.

Nick has been a GREAT tutor for music production . He has an extensive knowledge of DAW (FL Studio in our case). He gives encouraging, thoughtful feedback of compositions. He has a solid understanding of music theory. He understands when DAW functionality will assist in making a piece better and is able to explain it in a clear, concise manner. He provides a helpful lesson summary which allows for good discussion starters with our musician. It is easy to communicate with Nick. Our student musician looks forward to each session and has learned a lot in a short amount of time. We highly recommend Nick!

I learned from Nicholas Popovich for six years and cannot remember a day when he did not show up on time, hold to the structure of his curriculum, or pour himself into his work, ensuring his students always had what they needed. He was eager to answer any questions we had and did so in great detail, and always accommodated us with whatever facilities, resources, or knowledge we needed. He was one of the best instructors I've had, stopped at nothing to make sure his students and course were taken care of, and has been an integral part of my musical journey both in and after my education, even helping me make a career in the field.
