Hello, My name is Montserrat Gomez Carrillo. I was born in Mountain View, CA but raised in Mexico (Mexicali, B.C). Since I was in high school, I have been interesting in tutoring. I was until I was an... undergrad at UC Berkeley where I found a passion for tutoring after being a mentor at an after-school program for middle schoolers called Young Adult Project (YAP). Since I was little, I have enjoyed learning about mathematics. In fact, I received a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. Therefore, tutoring subjects like Algebra, Elementary Math, Geometry are my subjects of expertise. In addition, teaching Spanish is another subject that I enjoy tutoring since I lived the majority of my time in Mexico. I believe that with a little bit of help and patience any subject can be enjoyed. Everyone is capable of mastering their classes. It's all about persistency, determination and believing in oneself. Some of my passions are running. After the pandemic, I found my love for running. I started with a 5-minute jog that later turn into a 10K race, a half-marathon (21K), a 5K race, and hopefully by the end of the year a full-marathon (42K).
