I was a self-taught piano player for most of my adolescent years, teaching myself songs by ear. I have studied the piano for the past three years in college, learning beginning techniques and skills a... nd developing my own musical identity on the piano. I have since gained experience in countless different genres and styles including blues, rock, pop, jazz, tango and gospel. I have put these skills to use for in-class practicums and clinical placements in a music therapy context. I feel confident in my skills in teaching young and old beginners on piano and educating them on the authentic technique in each of these styles and more. read more
