I graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2022 with a Bachelor in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science and minors in Mathematics and Biochemistry. I have been tutoring high school math (al... gebra, algebra II, and precalculus) since 2016 and also have experience in GED/test prep tutoring. I specialize tutoring in algebra, algebra II, pre-algebra, and pre-calculus, but my education expands into multivariable and differential calculus. Teaching has been my career goal since high school and I am currently working on my MSN in Nursing Education. With that, I have provided knowledge and experience with adult GED, PSAT, HESI A2, and ASVAB subject testing. My goal with tutoring is to provide a deeper understanding of methodology and problem solving. I'd like to help the student succeed with their specified goals, whether that be grades, test prep, or mastering a topic. I like to center my teaching around the materials and homework the student is currently working with in order to succeed and complete their goals. Offering techniques and problem solving helps students work through problems with the long-term goal of independence. I work primarily one-to-one, but group learning can also be useful in learning to use resources around them.
