Hi everyone! My name is Manqi. I started to learn the piano when I was four years old. I graduated college with a degree in music, focusing on piano performance. Over the years, I have worked as a pia... nist and organist at my church where I regularly perform, as the piano accompanist for voice class, and for different instrumentalists. I also regularly performed solo in studio recitals and master classes. I recently had my solo senior recital in May when I played the music of Bach, Schubert, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, and Ravel. I also actively participate in chamber music. My piano quartet recently performed Mozart's piano quartet in G minor. I have also worked with kids in many age groups and absolutely loved it! I enjoy playing the piano and sharing my passion with children. I love discovering each kid's unique strengths and helping them explore their full potential. But most importantly, I would love to see my students fall in love with music more and more after every lesson!read more

It provides me comfort, and I wish to help my students to build this connection between themselves and the instrument. I think the purpose of playing an instrument like the piano is not to show off (although sometimes could be if you are really good), but to have a lifelong friend. Outside of regularly performing music, I enjoy spending time and sharing my musical knowledge with others. I believe that music, especially classical music should be accessible to all.
