Hi! One thing that I’m pretty sure about myself is that I genuinely enjoy teaching. I have been tutoring middle-school kids learning Mandarin in my school, volunteering at a local school for homework ... help, and meeting with college students in China online to teach them how to speak English for hundreds of hours. I am also helping my friends with different subjects at my school. I personalize my lessons to meet each student’s needs, as we all have different ways of processing knowledge. My 15-years-long school life in China taught me so much regarding how to do advanced Geometry, and this has been my favorite topic in Math. I have been teaching my sister in middle school how to do Geometry using tricks I learned back in China and also in America. Physics has been one of my favorite subjects out of all. To me, basic Physics is all about our daily life, and solving Physics problems is just the process of digging the big why of things that you never paid much attention to. Even though I do not have much experience in teaching Physics, I am confident about my test prep strategies as I got a 5 on AP Physics 1 this year and I can’t wait to share them with you! I have been living and studying in China for 15 years since I was born there. And I did not stop learning Chinese—this beautiful language—when I moved to the States. I cannot only teach you Mandarin the language itself, but also what happens in China every day, what is popular on the Chinese Internet, and so on if you are interested!
