I have tutored writing at the university level for four years at two different institutions. I have always enjoyed writing, and I love empowering other students to find their voices in writing as well... . I have worked with students of all age ranges in university (18-60+), and I even worked with elementary and middle school students last summer. I can tutor writing across all disciplines, from simple essays to lab reports to doctoral dissertations. I am knowledgable about many formatting styles, including MLA, APA, and Chicago. I am well-versed in grammar rules, and I am familiar with many resources to offer students to learn more about various writing concepts. I have also found useful means of explaining grammar and style concepts simply for all students to easily understand. I have a BA in English with a 3.88 GPA and a MA in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication with a 4.0 GPA. My education has worked hand-in-hand with my tutoring experiences, and my classes have informed my practices.
