I have taken 10 years of classical piano lessons, and I have performed the piano music of composers such Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. But I also have 10 years of performing jazz music, s... omething that gave me application for my love of the piano. I have a great passion for classical piano music and seeing others grow in their love for the piano! I've heard so many stories of adults quitting the piano because they thought it was boring, and that should never be the case. I believe in solid technique and good posture, but I also want all my students to love playing the piano. My name is Joshua Davis. I am pianist and composer based in Birmingham, AL. Music isn't my entire life, but it is a huge part of me, and I don't know where I'd be without it. I know a wide variety of ... music as well! I grew up listening to gospel music in my mom's car, I stumbled unto jazz and R&B in my teenage years, and I dipped my toe into rock and pop music while attending college. I love playing the piano, and for someone who has spent a majority of their life quite shy, I've found it to be a way of expressing all kinds of feelings and emotions. Playing the piano is so freeing and therapeutic for me, and that is what I what it to be for everyone that decides to learn the piano.
