The focus of my MS Chemistry thesis surrounded synthetic organic chemistry. Along with completion of undergraduate courses in Organic Chemistry I, II, III and Organic Chemistry Labs I, II, I received ... an overall grade of A in graduate level coursework in Organic Reactions, Organic Spectroscopy, and Medicinal Chemistry. I have recently received my MS Chemistry degree from Western Washington University and hope to pursue a career in Medicinal and/or Analytical Chemistry. My favorite nerdy topics surround both selectiv... e organic reactions and instrumental analysis. My favorite non-academic activities include trail running, cooking, reading, and biking. I love to work with many folks from differing backgrounds and experiences with a variety of goals to assess their learning style and help them succeed in STEM! Tutoring philosophy: I grew to learn the most after experiencing a bit of constructive struggle, growing from the creative application of fresh, new skills in various ways without fear of failure.
