About
Hi! My name is Grace. I'm a graduate from the University of Rochester, in New York. I have a Bachelors of Science in Brain and Cognitive science with a concentration in neurobiology and neurophysiolog... y, as well as a minor in Computer Science. I currently work in a lab at the University of Rochester Medical Center where I research rare neurological disorders. Beyond my current position I have an extensive background in other software/neuroscience disciplines. In my spare time I enjoy free reading sci-fi novels and trying new arts and crafts.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved learning! My favorite thing about being a tutor is seeing students' faces light up when something finally clicks, and/or when I see students experience someone catering to their intellectual needs for the first time. My ultimate goal as a tutor is to help students understand topics, but to also help them gain studying skills to empower them for years to come.
I am a strong believer in equal opportunity for ALL student regardless of background. As an end to this, I offer free sessions for students (or parents of juvenile students) who can demonstrate income below poverty according to the HHS Poverty Guidelines and are those who are members of an historically marginalized group.read more
