About
Hello! I'm a first-year UC Berkeley student majoring in Conservation and Resource Studies. I began teaching my sophomore year, in a speech and debate class that was primarily student run due to staffi... ng constraints. I got to school early to lesson plan and spent the class working one-on-one with students preparing for tournaments. My freshman year, we had one person qualify to state championships, and none to nationals. My senior year, when I was debate captain and one of two primary student teachers, we had 12 state qualifiers and 3 national qualifiers.
I also have teaching experience with Girl Scouts San Diego, where I volunteered over 400 hours leading small, interactive outdoors skills classes. After leaving the program, they asked me to return as the keynote speaker of Hikerfest! 2023, where I delivered an hour-long presentation about my experience thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.
In my free time I love reading (send me recommendations to add to my ever-growing book list!), exploring Berkeley, and anything outdoorsy (trail running, skiing, hiking, backpacking, camping... the list goes on).
Hope to hear from you soon!read more
