Guitar has been a lifelong passion and learning process of mine since my early teen years. I pursued musical opportunities on guitar throughout middle school, high school and into college. After recei... ving my B.A. in Music in 2006, I have continued studying and teaching guitar and performing professionally. My musical journey has ranged from rock/classic rock, jazz, classical, world music, Blues, and bluegrass. I show all students how to express their natural musical ability through the guitar. My various teaching experience has shown me what works and what doesn't in lessons, and it has allowed me to effectively teach a wide variety of styles and people. read more

Hi I'm Justin. As a full-time musician and educator, I love seeing student's faces light up when they 'get it' or when they work with determination to accomplish their goals. My interests have always ... been around music and learning. I study the cutting edge science of neurology, psychology, peak performance and flow in order to better equip my students for learning. I perform regularly as a solo musician and in a bluegrass band. This keeps me on my toes and learning new music and approaches. As a father of two and husband, I spend time with my family traveling, hiking, going to the beach and exploring our amazing little area of the world here on the central coast of California. From mountain biking to kayaking to snowboarding and skateboarding, we do it all. I also enjoy taking time to read and write, and I am always into at least 3 books at a time. My drive to expose people to great music and music making keeps me working hard for all of my students and audience members.read more
