Spanish was my first language, thus making me a knowledgeable native speaker and... writer in Spanish. Even though I am fluent, I wanted to test my knowledge with formal Spanish by taking an advanced Spanish class in high school. My knowledge in Spanish exceeded the expectations of my high school teacher. My fluency in Spanish eventually earned me a California State Seal of Biliteracy on my high school diploma. Additionally, my passion for the knowledge of Spanish shines out in my community. It is truly my pleasure to help translate for a random stranger who is struggling to communicate their concerns and the servicer is unable to provide them with a Spanish translator. My hope with tutoring for Spanish is to ease these challenging barriers in our communities. I can truly understand the difficulties of learning a new language because with language comes the understanding of cultures as well. Therefore, as a native Spanish speaker, I am extremely knowledgeable of various cultures in the Spanish language community. I am currently a California State University, Chico student pursuing my Bachelor in Science of Nursing, and I understand the importance of helping those who are in need of someone knowledgeable in Spanish to address their healthcare needs.read more
