I studied Computer Science for all four years of college, and could not be happier to have chosen it as my major in undergrad! Computer Science is a subject that opens up a vast array of possibilities... to all those who engage with it. It can be a very intimidating area to enter into, but everyone is capable of taking it on! While I have considerable experience in industry, having participated in Girls Who Code in high school and later working as a Software Engineering Intern at a prominent email marketing company, my most extensive and relevant experience is working as a Teacher's Assistant at the undergraduate level. For two semesters I acted as a TA for students at Brandeis University for the courses Introduction to Programming in Python and Advanced Programming Techniques in Java. In another semester, I was promoted to be the Head Teacher's Assistant for Introduction to Programming in Python. Hello! I'm Sarah. I'm from New York City, but now live in the Washington, DC area. I graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in Computer Science in May of 2022! I've been tutoring in a var... iety of subjects for as long as I can remember, starting out as a tutor for the SHSAT exam in NYC, required for admission to specialized high schools. Ever since that first experience working with students to help them overcome some of the most challenging aspects of their coursework and academic careers, I've been eager to do more in the way of providing guidance and assistance to people who need it. At every level, school can be incredibly stressful and overwhelming. My goal is to help reduce that stress and anxiety, break down complex content, and help you to remember your strengths and ability to excel.
