Isabelle YoungSanta Cruz, CACreatively Inclined Educator and Certified Teacher
To me, writing is an extremely valuable skill that can take a student far. I have always enjoyed and excelled at writing, from the high expectations my early school teachers sustained through my college professors lengthy research paper assignments. I recently earned a BFA from the University of Arizona in Art and Visual Culture Education where I expanded my art practice while earning my teaching certification (and graduated Summa Cum Laude).
During this time, I wrote essays, accompanying text to projects and storyline narratives. I have written about a variety of topics, including theory and thesis papers, curricular planning, Art History research papers, law studies, environmental science persuasive essays, descriptive essays on religious texts, and many more. I am now writing (and illustrating) children’s literature, and expanding my experience with writing for different age levels with creative writing.
I have an eye for detail as well, so proofreading, vocabulary, and syntax are elements to writing that I enjoy. I also am a certified teacher, so writing (and comprehension) is an aspect that I use to effectively teach as well.
