At a young age, I started to write and illustrate books when my mom stapled blank paper together for me and say, "Write a book." I did, and I kept my books.
I also enjoyed words of all kinds, real words and new words, created by me. I quickly learned to make people laugh at my use of words.
Many writers are also readers. In the summer, a bookmobile came to my small town, and I would request the latest horse book, fiction and real life.
In college I earned a writing emphasis with my BS degree in English Education. With my MS degree in English Education, I started my career as a community college English Instructor, mostly writing classes.
As a writer, my best writing is creative non-fiction, like playing cards with my grandparents at their farm. I love to mix created and remembered events.
As a writing tutor, I can help with any writing assignment. You'll be the writer, and I'll be the tour guide in the world of writing.
Currently, I'm working on a book, maybe Oprah will interview me.
