Ananya PenugondaNew Brunswick, NJRutgers University - Honors College Student
I will be graduating this May 2023 from Rutgers University - Honors College with a major in Public Health and a minor in Spanish. I took Spanish all throughout high school (including AP Spanish - I received a 5 on the AP exam), and also minored in Spanish in college. I also earned my seal of bi-literacy in Spanish from the Virginia Department of Education in 2019.
Additionally, I have been working as a research assistant at my university's medical school for almost two years, where I speak Spanish with patients and research participants, and translate various documents into Spanish. I have also traveled abroad to Perú, where I took Spanish classes and worked in a clinic, so I was able to communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and local residents in Spanish.
Overall, I have both classroom and real-world experience with speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, and have also had experience teaching in the past!
