Amy PeckSaginaw, MISpanish & ESL Teacher & Tutor
From a young age, I have always been passionate about travel and culture. Spanish quickly became my favorite subject in high school after taking Latin in middle school. I loved learning about grammar and vocabulary - it was like putting together a puzzle!
In high school, I earned A's in all my Spanish classes and scored a 4 on my Advanced Placement Spanish Language exams. I also was a part of my high school's Spanish Club for 4 years. I even went on a mission trip to Guatemala in 2015, which sparked my lifelong travel bug. Since then, I have visited other countries, like Costa Rica, Spain, and Puerto Rico, learning all different types of Spanish during those times.
I pursued Education in college, and graduated last year with my B.A. in Education, specializing in Spanish and ESL Education.
I am certified (Michigan) to teach Spanish, and I taught high school Spanish this past year, and had so much fun doing it. We played lots of games and listened to new types of music! I have also tutored middle school and high school students in Spanish, helping them recognize the sounds that letters make, spell words, build reading proficiency, recognize literary devices, and build a life-long love for learning language and culture.
