I scored 780/800 on the SAT Math section and have experience tutoring a few students for SAT math preparation last year.
The way I tutor students for SAT is first by assessing the areas they do well in and those they could improve in, and then further make a plan based on that.
The math portion of SAT tests students on a variety of topics such as numbers and prealgebra(percentages, proportions, arithmetics, etc), some algebra, geometry, coordinates and solving system of linear equations, preliminary trigonometry, preliminary statistics and probability.
Based on the needs of the students, we may either review or have a more detailed lecture on different topics. We will also solve as many practice problems on each topic as possible(or needed). That is so that students solidify their understanding, become familiar with different types of questions and ways to solve them in a timely manner on the test.
The experience I had tutoring students in SAT math preparation has been very positive and appealing. If you are preparing for SAT and need help or guidance with anything or are interested in receiving tutoring sessions for boosting your score on the test and such, I would be more than happy to help.
