I have been an educator for over 15 years. I am an experienced professional with proven abilities to tutor, teach, advise, counsel, and train students in individual and team environments. I am highly organized and technologically savvy with a demonstrated ability to navigate various learning management systems and online platforms. As an educator, I serve in various roles. In my role as Freshmen Seminar Instructor, I I teach effective study skill techniques and college adjustment strategies for a section of first year students via online and in-person, using D2L Brightspace, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and PowerPoint. As an Academic Advisor for a State University, I provide academic, career, financial aid, and personal advising and counseling to a caseload of approximately 80 students ranging from first-year students to seniors. I also serve as a Writing Tutor, providing writing assistance to students individually and in small groups via in person and remote environments. I assist students in varies fields of study with papers, homework assignments, test preparation, and projects. Furthermore, I explain writing principles and concepts; evaluate student’s writing and provide constructive feedback.
