Ismael PatriotaRome, Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, ItalyDoctorate student and pianist
I have a bachelor's degree in piano. For ten years, I taught piano to many people, children and adults, from beginners to advanced students. So, I have a lot of experience teaching music and assisting students in playing the piano correctly. My lessons are individual because I know that each student has their challenges and advantages. Understanding them is necessary to play correctly and avoid physical issues.
In my classes, I like to teach students how to study the instrument because it makes a big difference in practice. The goal is not to repeat the music but to play the notes and phrases beautifully, with meaning and musical syntax.
I am sure that details make a difference in music, so I base my class plan on excellence, not much on theory. I believe that first comes practice and then understanding of what we are doing. The correct equilibrium between theory and practice is what makes a good lesson.
