Skilled Math & Physics Teacher Tailors Lessons to Each Student

In high school, I consistently ranked at the top of my class, achieving an A* in IGCSE Physics and an A in A Level Physics. During my undergraduate studies, I delved deeper into the subject, completing advanced courses in classical mechanics and electromagnetism. This rigorous training honed my understanding of physical principles and sharpened my analytical and problem-solving skills. For the past 5 years, I have been sharing my love for physics by tutoring high school students in mechanics, waves, optics, and electricity. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into digestible, intuitive explanations, often using real-world examples and hands-on demonstrations to illustrate key ideas. I strive to create an engaging, interactive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, think critically, and explore the fascinating connections between physics and everyday life. By tailoring my instruction to each student's unique needs and learning style, I aim to build their confidence, develop their scientific reasoning skills, and help them appreciate the beauty and power of physics. Whether it's guiding students through challenging problem sets or designing interactive experiments, I am committed to igniting their curiosity and equipping them with the tools to succeed in their physics studies and beyond.

Trainer (tutor) of Physics and Mathematics for high school and college students

I have much experience in teaching both physics and mathematics. Those experiences are written in the following statement: From June 2007 to January 2010: I had been a teaching assistant of physics and mathematical physics. Since 2011, I had been a lecturer of Physics and Mathematics at Surya Institute. My responsibilities were teaching Science to primary students to prepare their selves in Olympiad Science, teaching physics Olympiad for junior and senior high school, teaching physics and mathematics to students who want to enter colleges and universities, teaching Mathematics and physics using the GASING METHOD for STKIP students, and also lead of physics and mathematics (Calculus) for students who want to take the SIMAK UI, SNMPTN and the other tests. The teaching mathematics Olympiad for students of SMA Budi Luhur Karang Tengah, Ciledug; Teaching mathematics for a student who was studying at IPEKA International School; Teaching SAT for student who want to study in the USA (she got a good score). From September 2013-Present, Teaching Physics and Mathematics to student who took the AS Level examination and who was preparing his self to take the A2 Level examination. From Nov 2013–Feb 2014: Teaching Mathematics for Business to students of UPH and Binus University; Teaching Physics and Mathematics (Calculus) to universities student online (skype or Google+). Ivy-league Graduate student. Computer industry veteran passionate about teaching STEM

I love computer engineering, sciences in general and I love teaching as well. I work full-time as a Hardware Engineer designing complex Application-Specific-Integrated-Circuits (ASIC) GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) at a top computer technology company. In the past I tutored a couple of high-school students AP computer science, and I was a TA for a college-level computer graphics course (programming, algebra, geometry). I am passionate about what I do at work, and I enjoy spreading my passion and knowledge to younger folks as well. I want to inspire more students to become scientists and engineers. A few highlights about my background: -Minored in Math in college. Had excellent grades (at least A-). -800 out of 800 on SAT Math I, II, and AP Calculus. -Majored in Physics in college. Loves physics. -Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. -Works in the Computer Engineering industry as a Hardware Engineer. "If you cannot explain it to others clearly, then you do not fully understand it." -- Albert Einstein. I believe it is very important to try to explain things from the students' perspective. My tutoring approach is to record the listen to my own explanations of key ideas and concepts, to see if my explanations are clear enough. Also I would collect feedbacks from my students and ask them to explain the concepts back to me to confirm that they have fully understood and grasped them. Feel free to consult me about computer engineering careers if you are interested!
