I keep up to date with the new AI techniques and ongoing changes in the industry. I am a passionate graphic designer and fine artist who thrives on the creative process. Whether it's designing visually compelling graphics or expressing myself through fine art, my love for the arts extends to various forms, including needlepoint and painting. Exploring different crafts allows me to continuously evolve as a versatile and well-rounded artist. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it's a calling driven by a genuine desire to share my creative abilities and professionalism with others. My philosophy revolves around fostering an environment of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe in tailoring my approach to the individual needs and aspirations of my students, encouraging them to explore their unique artistic voice. PhD, Biologist, Research Scientist, Teacher, Mentor

I am a physiological ecologist, zoologist, and field biologist, and I specialize in studying hummingbirds. I recently completed my PHD in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Toronto. Before that, I studied biology at Loyola Marymount University, where I took a wide range of biology courses including field, lab, lecture, and research courses. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies, I have gained extensive teaching and mentorship experience at the college and high school levels. I have expertise in a wide range of biology subjects including ecology, animal physiology, animal behavior, independent research, ornithology, urban ecology, methods of field biology and research, tropical field biology, temperature field biology, environmental science, microbiology, cell biology, genetics, etc. I love getting students engaged and excited about the amazing world we live on! As an active researcher and passionate educator, I think I bring a unique perspective to communicating what we know about biology, but also HOW we know that, and what is still a mystery! In recent years, I have taught and mentored several courses and students remotely, so I have developed strategies to encourage engagement while communicating via video call. I also have extensive experience in the writing process and in guiding others in it. I hope my passion for experiencing and studying nature will inspire fascination with life and help make biology my students’ favorite subject!

High School English Teacher who also teaches True Crime, College Applications, College Apps, Essay,

After teaching for over 23 years, I have learned that school isn't for everyone and students should not be faulted for this. Teachers need to REACH before they TEACH. Organically connecting and creating relationships with students is top priority. When teachers are placing information into our students' brains, then we need to build trust before they accept that information. Many teachers do not understand this recipe and the result can be disastrous. I take pride in the fact that I am aware of what the needs are, both emotionally and academically. I developed this new style of mentorship based off of parent frustration, under appreciated teachers, and failing students. I also know that learning takes place through various outlets. I am here to cater and tailor your experience based on what you tell me you need. I am a licensed teacher prepared to take your child to the next level. I like to call myself a, "mentor" who is here to provide guidance, advice, feedback and support, as well as serving as a role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, advocate and ally. When I pitched this idea to a few parents, teachers and most of all...our students, the reactions where overwhelmingly positive. As a result, I decided it was time to help. This system of mentorship is designed for each individual and their style of learning. I enlisted the help of my colleague, who will offer a Math mentorship, as well. We are aware of the needs of our students and want to help any way we can.
