Language Professor and Manual Therapist

As a teacher, I believe in a student-centered approach that emphasizes hands-on learning and critical thinking. I have seven years of experience as a manual therapist, which has given me a unique perspective on how the body works and how to teach others about it. I am also certified in anatomy and kinesiology, which allows me to bring a deep understanding of the science behind movement to my teaching. In my classes, I prioritize active learning and encourage my students to ask questions, experiment, and problem-solve. I believe that everyone learns differently and that it is my job as a teacher to create an environment that supports all students, regardless of their learning style or background. I work to build positive relationships with my students so that we can work together to achieve their goals. My experience teaching in schools has given me a strong foundation in curriculum development and classroom management. I am committed to creating lessons that are engaging and relevant to my students' lives and interests. I use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, group work, and hands-on activities, to ensure that my students have a well-rounded educational experience. Overall, I am passionate about teaching and helping my students develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. I am always learning and growing as an educator and am dedicated to providing my students with the best possible learning experience.

Ivy-League Student/Graudate

I have applied, and gone, to both undergraduate and graduate schools and know first hand the power of a good essay, and the power of a great essay tutor. I worked with many essay tutors who showed me the tricks to use, and the pitfalls to avoid when writing these types of essays. And they were never very obvious, for high schools teach the power of an academic essay, with a thesis, topic sentence, conclusion etc etc. But they don't necessarily teach you how to have a voice, how to add whimsy, and how to add the magic that is YOU. This is where the tutors showed me the roads to success. I got into my top choices of schools, Wellesley College, Columbia University, and Yale University. I credit these victories in large part due to my essay, and my writing abilities in general. I think I may have even won an award for them from Mount Holyoke College. But that aside, I am passionate about telling stories, and communicating to an audience. And the admissions elves behind the scenes are a very specific type of audience, and are looking for magic sentences that are unique. This is where I can help. I am an actor, I just got my MFA from Columbia in acting, and I know how to perform under pressure and communicate something magical. I know how to win an audience over. Additionally, as an actor, one often has to write one's own material, or pitch something, or invite people, and I have done it all. I have helped peers in college with their essays, taken advanced writing classes, and written countless papers on Music History/theory, Ancient History, Physics,...and oddly enough I've written many papers on Hobbits. I believe that I have the je ne sais quoi, and the experience to help a student going through this daunting time, and give them the support they need to find their inner strength in their own voice.
