UC Davis Honors Graduate | Empowering Mathematical and Programming Excellence:

My journey in this fascinating field has been marked by academic rigor and a passion for sharing knowledge, evidenced by my dual honors in Computer Science and Engineering & Mathematics from University of California, Davis. My academic prowess is reflected in a high GPA and a rich tapestry of advanced coursework, ranging from Calculus and Linear Algebra to Discrete Mathematics and beyond. Beyond the classroom, my dedication to mathematics has found expression in various teaching roles. As an AATC Peer Tutor and a COSMOS Teaching Intern, I honed my ability to distill complex mathematical concepts into comprehensible nuggets, aiding students from diverse backgrounds in unlocking their potential. My role as a MAT Grader and a reader in the Math Department allowed me to nurture a keen eye for detail and a profound understanding of student learning dynamics. Leadership roles within academic communities, notably as the President of the Math Club at UC Davis, have anchored my commitment to fostering a thriving mathematical culture. These positions have not only polished my organizational and leadership skills but have also afforded me a platform to inspire and mentor budding mathematicians. Recognized for my academic and leadership excellence through multiple accolades such as the Dean’s List and the Richard and Joy Academic Excellence award, I bring a blend of expertise, dedication, and a nurturing attitude to the realm of mathematics tutoring. My approach is tailored, empathetic, and enriched by real-world experiences, ensuring that each student's journey in mathematics is not just about mastering theories but evolving as confident and competent problem solvers. With a track record of helping students navigate the often challenging terrain of mathematics, I am equipped to guide my tutees toward academic excellence.

Math Tutor

Throughout my life, my love for math has grown as it is the only subject that has consistent rules that can be taught to anyone across all languages. When I was in 4th Grade, my teacher saw that I was excelling through her math lessons, so she assigned me to teach my classmates the lessons, as she knew that I could connect better with my peers in explaining these math concepts to them. From 6th Grade to 9th Grade, I have been two years ahead of my peers in math, as I have taken Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 and earned an A+ in all these subjects. In 10th Grade, due to my success in Algebra 2, I was invited to take a dual enrollment Pre-Calculus course with the University of Texas at Austin, where I not only received an A+ in this class, but I earned college credit in the process. In 11th Grade, I took AP Calculus AB at my high school and Calculus 1 at my local community college where I was earning my Associate’s Degree before graduating from high school. I earned a 100 in both of these classes, while earning a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. In 12th Grade, I took Calculus 2 where I also earned a 100 in the class. My success in math allowed me to graduate as valedictorian. Ultimately, while I take pride in these accomplishments, I find lasting satisfaction in seeing a student gain the confidence they need in their own ability to succeed in whatever they set their mind to do, which I instill through teaching mathematics.
