For as long as I can remember, I've loved math. Learning that almost everything can be quantified into numbers and calculations really turned my simple understanding of the world into a complex perspective of life. It also allowed me to relate topics together, such as physics and calculus.
I've thoroughly studied mathematics for the last 5 years ranging from topics of Algebra 1 & 2, AP Calculus AB & BC, and college level Calculus II. During four of the five years, I studied at a private college-prep institution where I was able to obtain a 4 on the Advanced Placement Calculus AB exam and A+'s in all of my math-based classes.
For the past year, I've been studying math at the University of Miami where I scored in the top 1% of my advanced Calculus classes, garnering an A/A+. At both of my private institutions, I've held a 4.0 GPA unweighted. I'm also highly skilled in arithmetic, allowing me to further explain/breakdown courses back to Algebra I.
Math didn't always come easy to me as I struggled in my early elementary days and throughout the tougher courses. However, growing in the subject, learning new tips and tricks, and slowly falling in love with it made me realize that with a little practice and the right tools, anyone can learn it.
