Areeb LatifiToronto, ON, CanadaStudent at the University of Toronto specializing in Math, Economics, and Public Speech.
I currently study advanced mathematics for Business and Economics in university. I graduated from an international high school in Singapore where I took Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches in the IB Diploma, scoring 7/7. I have experience with the concepts of calculus, vectors, statistics, probability, trigonometry and linear algebra.
During the IB, I wrote a 16 page report to do with calculus - optimizing different water bottle shapes to reduce resources used and cost as a part of my internal assessment, scoring full marks. In University, I have written multiple mathematical reports using linear regressions, multivariable calculus and optimization, scoring A+ on each.
Like many other students, Mathematics did not naturally come to me, and I had struggled with many concepts throughout my learning experience. I strongly believe that the way you are taught Mathematics can drastically change how you approach problems. I strive to be a teacher that does not focus on memory, but rather building an understanding of mathematical concepts.
