I studied and utilized geometry academically for 11 years, from my freshman year of high school through earning my Master's degree, including taking numerous AP exams myself. As a physicist, chemist, and electrical engineer, trigonometry was and continues to be a major part of my life.
After finishing my secondary education, I have continued to use geometry on a daily basis as a professional science and technology innovator and consultant for nearly a decade. My firm utilizes all forms of applied mathematics to develop innovative solutions to global problems, particularly in the energy sector.
I have a year of formal classroom teaching in collegiate mathematics and experience teaching geometry through online tutoring services. I am very familiar with online learning tools and the virtual classroom environment.
I believe that any student is fully capable of understanding and excelling with STEM concepts and applications, given sufficient support and time to learn. I desire to use online learning platforms to help students struggling in these areas to not only better understand these subjects and excel in their academics, but also to develop an appreciation for, and interest in, mathematics and science.
