Geometry is a very powerful tool in math and science as many symmetries or how some shapes can function together leads to many calculations for both physics and engineering. I have had about 2 years experience tutoring students in the Geometry questions of the ACT. Whether the questions are about parallel lines with a transversal cutting them into various types of angles, the Pythagorean Theorem to find the sides of triangles, the equation of a circle, or similar vs. congruent shapes and their sides or angles, I am able to guide my students to the correct answers. Geometry requires more visual skills, and I am able to tap into those strengths of most students by showing them how a concept works. However, all of these concepts are also based on logic, hence the use of proofs in many of these classes. If a student understands the logic better than the visual, I can guide them to understand the concepts that way. This subject now paves the way for me to help all of my students from Prealgebra through Calculus!

Geometry is one of my favorite area in Mathematics. I love this discipline because of its wide application in the real world. I love teaching Geometry to my students. A positive growth mentality is possibly the best instrument for studying math. Students can open themselves up to taking risks, which are crucial to learning, when they are taught to accept their mistakes and view struggle as a chance for improvement. This is true for all learners. The ability to make mistakes freely and the time to reflect are crucial components of learning in general and are often lacking in math classes. We are depriving kids of their full potential if we let them think that their errors are anything else than teaching opportunities.
I find joy in exploring and learning Geometry. My baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate are focused on Math and Geometry has a very special place in my heart. Teaching it gives me so much sense of happiness. And it is more fulfilling every time I hear students appreciating me the way I teach each geometry lesson- simple and organize.

From a young age, I have always been passionate about Mathematics, especially Geometry. In fact, I wrote my college essay on the many ways I use Geometry in my daily life. It was my favorite subject all through middle and high school. I love solving problems and analyzing shapes. In high school, I earned A's in all my math classes and scored well on my exams. I fell in love with Math almost 20 years ago. I find it super fun and magical to teach math is a universal language that applies to all things in nature and in music and everything that is creative used in everyday life I love teaching math and I love seeing the connections students have with it as they excel in their studies and their academic goal students may find an appreciation and a unique understanding for a different language that exist amongst everyone.
In addition to taking Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, I’ve also done well in Geometry. There’s so many formulas and concepts to memorize, so I understand how it can confuse students. However, I’ll help you “shape up” your geometry grade!
Math is one of my strongest subjects all round. I excel at problem solving, noticing patterns, and following steps. Because of my ability to grasp these points, it helps me break down the steps and equations to teach them to a very intelligent student who hasn't had the extra help they need to grasp these tools.
