I have vast experience in both the study and teaching of mathematics. I have an Associates of Liberal Arts in Mathematics and Science. I am currently in my last semester of my Bachelors program where I am majoring in Education of Middle School Mathematics. I am well versed in California Common Core Standards for mathematics, specifically grades 6-8. I have completed and excelled in all of my math courses including all algebraic levels, geometry, statistics, and calculus. I have a unique educational experience in devising successful lesson plans and overall teaching pedagogy. In addition to my educational experience, I have classroom experience working as a Paraprofessional for Sierra Sands Unified School District. During my several years at the district I worked in mild/moderate special education. I worked with students with a variety of individualized educational needs and am familiar with how to scaffold and modify material to accommodate any learning disability. I also attained in classroom experience educating students in small group settings, specializing in mathematics.

I really enjoy tutoring logic, inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, and two column proofs. I connect with the student to create a logical and efficient two column proof based on deductive reasoning using theorems, postulates, and definitions. We have fun with proofs on popular topics such as parallel lines, congruent triangles, and CPCTC.

I fell in love with Math almost 20 years ago. I find it super fun and magical to teach math is a universal language that applies to all things in nature and in music and everything that is creative used in everyday life I love teaching math and I love seeing the connections students have with it as they excel in their studies and their academic goal students may find an appreciation and a unique understanding for a different language that exist amongst everyone.
Geometry is a very powerful tool in math and science as many symmetries or how some shapes can function together leads to many calculations for both physics and engineering.
