For the past 2 and a half years, I have been studying the French language very intensely, and have passed all of the available French classes that my college offers. In class, I quickly showed my professor that I had a natural ability to acquire the language more rapidly than others. Once I reached a level that I felt comfortable with speaking, I began offering small group tutoring sessions for my fellow classmates, and all of their test grades began to rise. My professor, noticing this, asked me if I wanted to tutor for money at the college, and I happily said yes. Since that, I have been a French, German, and Spanish tutor for Cape Fear Community College.
Now that I am a tutor, there is nothing that I love more than teaching others the love of language acquisition, culture, and fluency. I believe learning a language is something everyone is capable of, especially since we have all already done it once before
