I am a native English speaker from New York City, USA. I have 22 years of teaching experience, both in a classroom environment and over the telephone/online. I have worked with students in over 20 countries, such as France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, China, Korea, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, etc.
I am very experienced in teaching children of all ages, as well as adults and professionals. I have taught adult professionals for approximately 20 years total. Eighteen of those years have been online. I am also very experienced in using multiple teaching platforms, such as Skype, Classin, WebEx, Zoom, etc.
I was born, raised and college-educated in the United States. I also speak fluent Spanish (I am completely bilingual) and pre-intermediate-level French. I have a genuine passion for teaching, and this translates into a very strong work ethic on my part. I have no doubt that I can help you to achieve your language learning goals. I am able to tailor student courses according to their specific job descriptions and actual needs.
I emphasize the core skills of listening, reading, pronunciation, comprehension and speaking in all of my classes. I like to make each experience a well-rounded effort in which the student pushes himself or herself to break new barriers in their learning development.
One of the things I love most about teaching ESL is having the opportunity to make a difference on a global level. Working with students around the globe is an education in and of itself. The interaction and exchange of cultural knowledge is something that very few careers offer. Teaching online is as enriching for myself as it is for my students.
Teaching effectively requires a lot of enthusiasm, energy and genuine love and passion for the art of teaching itself. My teaching motto has always been, "LAUGH WHILE YOU LEARN".
