Native Californian: Certified TESOL (all levels and ages) and K-12 Subject Tutor / Teacher

Greetings, learners and guardians, With nearly a quarter-century of experience as an English teacher, I've witnessed firsthand the remarkable benefits of small group learning. Today, I invite you to embark on a journey of English language acquisition and reading proficiency through the dynamic setting of small group lessons. Why small groups, you may ask? Simply put, it's the most economical and effective way to nurture language skills. By gathering a few friends, you or your child can engage in collaborative learning while sharing the expenses—a win-win scenario for both education and budget. Within the intimate setting of 2 to 4 learners, a uniquely competitive environment emerges, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and motivation. Here, learners not only receive individualized attention but also draw inspiration from the diverse strengths and perspectives of their peers. Small group lessons aren't just for the young—learners of all ages stand to benefit from this tailored approach. Whether your goal is to enhance English fluency, refine reading comprehension, or sharpen language proficiency, small group sessions offer a rapid, efficient, and cost-effective path to success. So, why wait? Gather together with friends and fellow learners, and let's embark on a journey of discovery, growth, and achievement. Together, we'll unlock the full potential of language learning in a supportive, engaging, and dynamic small group setting. Message me for a free consultation. Let's learn, grow, and thrive—together. Warm regards, Michael

Multi-Knowledgeable Student Teacher

As a student, I have never received below an 89% on an English assignment of any kind, including written, oral, and multiple choice. I have assisted my peers and students younger and older than me with their essays, exam prep, and various types of homework and they have always received a passing score after receiving assistance from me, even if they had failed the assignment multiple times before receiving my assistance. I received 5's on both the AP Literature and Composition and AP Language and Composition exams in 2019 and 2020, and I am currently studying for two Bachelors Degrees in Writing and Psychology: Counseling. Therefore, I utilize both creative and research based writing styles and types of English on a daily basis. Further, I received a perfect score on my Writing SOLS, and placed advanced in every English SOL I took in elementary, middle, and high school. On top of this, I am a member of multiple honors societies, maintain a GPA of 3.96 in my junior year of college, and I am a published poet. I also own a small poetry publication, so I have an eye for creative styles and interpretation. I have mentored middle school, high school, college, and adults through essay writing and I make it easy and understandable for every student. I am always willing to put in the research, time, and effort to help you understand something on your level, even if I have to learn it on my personal time and teach it in a future session. In addition, I have experience teaching the English language to high school and college students who speak English as their second language in Ukraine, Spain, Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, Argentina, Peru, and many other Latin American countries. I have six years of language exchange experience, and I am able to communicate comfortably in English and Spanish. I have also obtained basic levels of French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Afrikaans, and I am actively working to become conversational in those languages.
