I have been studying English my whole academic career. I have always enjoyed reading and, subsequently, as I got older, a taste for writing as well. It's something that has always come naturally to me and my sister was the same way, which meant that we both fostered that interest together and that provided a source to continue my interest, even outside of a strictly academic context. I took honors English courses, both in middle school and high school, where I eventually moved to AP Language Arts and AP literature, all the while reading and editing my sister's college essays, who was double majoring in English and Spanish at the University of Chicago.
