Full-Time Business Manager & Part-Time Professor - Offering Business/Accounting/Math Tutoring

Hi, my name is Jen and I am a full-time accountant and part-time professor who loves to work individually with students to help them succeed in their courses. My motto is that learning is "Mind Over Matter". I like to start with understanding what a student currently knows to build up their confidence and establish a base. Through the use of questioning techniques, students will actively be involved in their learning by providing responses to prompts as we walk through lessons personalized to students' individual needs. In lessons, I use real-life examples and applications to help students relate more to the materials. At the end of each lesson, I ask the student to summarize what we covered to test their understanding and continue to build up confidence focusing on the positive! I currently teach part-time as a professor in higher ed at an R1 research institute. I have privately tutored students for over 10 years in subjects such as Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Finance, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics. Having my B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting, M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory, and certificates in Forensic Accounting and Internal Auditing, allows me to have the knowledge and experience necessary to work with higher ed and high school students. Working as a full-time accountant allows me to use real-life industry examples for student applications.

Absolutely! Here's a tailored response for teaching Economics: Students should consider me as their Economics tutor for several compelling reasons: 1. **Economics Expertise**: Holding a Bachelor's degree from the University of Education, Winneba, with Economics as my primary area of study, I possess a robust understanding of economic principles, theories, and methodologies. My academic background equips me with the knowledge and skills necessary to guide students through the complexities of economics. 2. **Real-World Application**: In addition to my academic training, I bring practical experience to the table. I have engaged in internships, research projects, and practical applications of economic theories, providing me with insights into how economic concepts manifest in real-world scenarios. This practical experience allows me to offer valuable, real-world examples that enhance students' understanding and appreciation of economic concepts. 3. **Interactive Teaching Methods**: Economics can be a complex subject, but I believe in making it accessible and engaging for students. I utilize interactive teaching methods such as discussions, case studies, and simulations to foster active participation and critical thinking. This approach not only enhances comprehension but also encourages students to apply economic principles to analyze and solve problems. 4. **Customized Learning Experience**: I recognize that every student has unique learning needs and preferences. Therefore, I tailor my teaching approach to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels of proficiency. Whether students are visual learners, auditory learners, or kinesthetic learners, I adapt my teaching methods to ensure that they grasp economic concepts effectively. 5. **Emphasis on Analytical Skills**: Economics is not just about memorizing facts and figures; it's about developing analytical skills to understand and interpret economic phenomena. I focus on cultivating students' analytical idea.
