Since I was a child, I have been fascinated with Science, so I decided to study Biology. I obtained a BS in Biology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. I enjoyed every class, even the most difficult ones because they helped me grow by overcoming obstacles. Later in my career, I wanted to work in research-related programs, but my life turned, and I decided to move to another country. I had the opportunity to live in other countries and study abroad. As a student abroad, I enhanced my skills, in interpersonal relationships and dialogue among people of different cultures and creeds. I learned to be open to the world and accept diversity and differences. Also, I experienced that I can learn from each person I might encounter and be proud of my identity. I have lived in the United States, Italy, Switzerland, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
I taught Chemistry for three years in a bilingual school. I am passionate about teaching students the importance of Chemistry in life. Often, the students that I encountered expressed some rejection of the class because they found it challenging. So, my job was to show them the beauty of it and how they can apply it to daily life. I enjoy every single time in class. The results are stories to tell. They have found the meaning of Chemistry and the importance of new outcomes in society.
