Maya LavenderLos Angeles, CARecent College Grad, Received BA in Anthropology and Theater
I am a graduate of Bard College's Theater and Performance program, where I received both the Jonathan Weiss Scholar in Drama Award and the Carter Towbin Prize for Theater and Performance. This program emphasized multidisciplinary practice, and thus I have experience as an actor, playwright, and director. I have devised my own work, spending a year to write and direct a senior thesis play. And have directed several other projects, and acted in many others. I also have experience providing critical analysis of both theatrical texts and performances, including historical and contemporary texts. Whether you'd like some pointers on your monologue, someone to read your work-in-progress script, or some feedback on a theater history paper, I'd be more than happy and able to provide that (and more!) for you! Relevant Courses: Theater History, Directing Seminar, Voice and Text, Introduction to Playwriting, Writing Plays with Ghosts, Physical Theater, Introduction to Acting, "Hippolytos" Acting/Production Intensive, Theatermaking
