I have been tutoring Pre-k - 3rd Grade children in all subject areas for the past seven years, including this past Pandemic year in the children's backyards.
Despite masks and social distance, we all enjoyed the learning process together!
For online learning, I understand that the typical energy level and focus drops 20 percent as compared with in-person learning for this age group. For this reason, I use many techniques to sustain interest and enthusiasm, including many props, learning games, puppet theater, humor, whole body movement, child-centered dictated stories, and lots of encouragement!
