Hi, I'm Dawn and I reside on the East Coast of the USA. I'm a mom and homeschool teacher to Abby. I love to read everything from soup can labels in the grocery store to catching up on news articles u... ntil I drift to sleep. That has been the best way I have learned. Give me a subject and I will read everything I can on it!
Because I am an avid reader, I enjoy teaching others the basics of the English language and helping them to improve their reading skills. Because I homeschool my daughter, I can ensure that her reading and English language skills are where they should be. I am happy to see her love of reading grow and her ability to read at a level higher than most of her peers.
When I am not teaching Abby, I am tutoring children who struggle with English as their second language. I currently have 4 students whom I tutor in person during the week. I have also provided ESL classes to a small group of adults twice a week.
In addition to my ability to teach English, I have over 25 years of teaching Bible Studies to both adults and children of all ages. In my earlier years as a Christian, I was trained in both learning and providing lessons on the Holy Bible. I have given home Bible Studies over the years both to individuals and small groups. Later in life, I ministered to the homeless population in my community, where I also gave public Bible lessons to all who were interested in listening. I believe that no one should be exempt from knowing GOD and understanding the meaning of our faith. Because of my calling to those who were often overlooked, I was able to share the Gospel through the Holy Bible with countless people who otherwise struggled to understand.
