Recently, I created a smart waste bin specifically designed for plastic bottle collection. The system employs ESP32 Camera to capture images, which are then sent for processing to a YOLOv5-trained model. This model efficiently determines if the object in the image is a plastic bottle. When a plastic bottle is detected, the system triggers a response to a servo motor, enabling the bin to open automatically for convenient disposal. My teaching style is project-based.
