About
I have spent nearly 34 years living in the vibrant city of Butuan, Philippines, where I have cultivated a deep passion for mountain climbing, cooking, traveling, and blogging. My journey in education ... began at the Philippine Normal University, where I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a focus on science from 2004 to 2008. During my college years, I discovered a love for tutoring, volunteering my time to help young kids grasp challenging concepts. This passion for tutoring continued even after I was hired as a public secondary school science teacher. I also took on a part-time role at one of Butuan City's prestigious tutoring centers, further honing my skills in personalized education.
My philosophy about tutoring centers on the belief that it plays a crucial role in aiding students' understanding, particularly in complex subjects like chemistry and physics. I am dedicated to simplifying intricate scientific concepts, making them accessible and engaging for my students. This approach enhances their comprehension and fosters a genuine interest in the subject matter.
With almost 15 years of experience as a science teacher, I have developed a patient and well-versed teaching style that resonates with my students. My ability to break down complicated topics into manageable and relatable segments has consistently helped my students succeed academically. Whether in the classroom or through one-on-one tutoring sessions, I am committed to molding a better understanding of science in my students, empowering them to excel in their studies and beyond.read more
