About
I live in Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte, a beautiful town in the southern part of the Philippines, known for its rich culture and welcoming community.
I am passionate about teaching, learning language... s, and exploring different cultures. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, especially books about history and social sciences. I also love traveling to experience new places and meet new people. Another hobby of mine is cooking, particularly Filipino dishes, which I often share with friends and family.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing my students grow and gain confidence in their abilities. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone understand a concept they initially found challenging and watching them succeed. I also love the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and share knowledge in a meaningful way.
My philosophy is based on patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I believe every student learns differently, so I customize my approach to meet each individual’s needs. I focus on building a strong foundation, but also on fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Learning should be enjoyable, and my goal is to make it just that—while ensuring real progress.
What sets me apart is my authentic connection to the language and culture. As a native Filipino, I don’t just teach the language; I bring the richness of Filipino traditions, values, and everyday life into my lessons. I combine my love for Social Studies with my passion for teaching, which helps me offer a unique perspective on history and culture—both in the classroom and in language lessons. I strive to inspire curiosity in my students, helping them see the world from different angles, whether through the lens of Tagalog, Social Studies, or global cultures.read more
