I am an experienced science teacher who currently teaches Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Medical Terminology at the high school level. I have been teaching science for 4 years after completing my ... degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Environmental Science. I have a drive to help those who wish to find success in the life science disciplines by making lessons personal and effective. I decided to pursue this path about halfway through nursing school, where I tutored other students in the aforementioned subjects, as well as other healthcare topics. Hi! I'm Sophia. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and am now a high school science teacher. I have been educating since I was in college, where I tutored my fellow nursing school students... until I decided to switch my career to education. During my first year as a science teacher, I won the WSST Science Teacher of the Year Award in recognition for my science teaching. I love helping students build their confidence and see the connects of science to their personal lives. Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my husband and puppy.
