I have always been a writer, so English and grammar just came naturally to me. In school I loved to read books, write poems, and write short stories. Greetings everyone! My name is River, and I am currently living in New Orleans. I have moved around a lot, and I won't share the boring details. However I do consider Houston, Texas to be my home town... . I still have friends there and often miss it for its diversity and wonderful museum district! I have always been an artist and a writer. When I was a kid it was my outlet to express myself as I went through a lot of bullying. I always had my art though. I paint with acrylic and watercolor, draw with ink pens, and I write stories and poetry. As I got older, I realized I have a major love for life in all of its forms and am always desiring to care for things. That led me to be an avid gardener and the dad to three animals: a pitbull, a chihuahua mix, and a very needy cat. Yes, the cat is friends with my pups. I suppose my love of caring for things leads into my love of teaching and tutoring. English comes naturally to me, and it's only natural that I would help others express themselves through language. Language can be difficult for many, but simultaneously it is an intuitive method of expression for humans. We have words for everything, a completely nuanced language, and perhaps that is what sets us apart from our dogs and cats and other animals.
