About
Welcome! I'm Lisa, and my desire is to get you where you want and need to be scholastically. Let me just say that I love to assist in the education of individuals of all ages, levels, and backgrounds!... First, allow me to share a little bit about myself and my educational path:
I am a cum laude graduate of one of the country's top ranked private learning institutions. I have extensive experience as a tutor in several subjects, including but not limited to Mathematics, English grammar and mechanics, and ESL (English as a Second Language) at the elementary, secondary and college levels. I have two children, both of whom I have been homeschooling for a combined 10+ years. I have done editing and proofreading for a number of publishing companies, aspiring authors, and students, and I am also an avid chess player/tutor in my spare time. I even play basketball and practice Martial Arts when my schedule allows.
The initial core curriculum of my education was Foreign and Classical Languages with focus on becoming an International Translator. However, as I continued my education, I found that I have a knack for helping others grasp certain learning concepts. So, I decided to shift my focus and attention to assisting those who may have difficulty with comprehension or who maybe just need some additional support.
I love being a part of the expansion of knowledge on all fronts. I believe everyone deserves quality education, so when an individual is able to deepen their level of understanding in any area of academia, and I'm able to facilitate or contribute to that, it is the most rewarding and gratifying experience.
I have vast knowledge in most subjects, including everything from basic Elementary Mathematics to AP English, with specialties in Algebra 1, Reading Comprehension and Test Prep.read more
