I taught Middle School ELA for four years and have privately tutored students ranging from 5th-12th. I am currently a High School English at the number 1 ranked high school in Michigan. I am also full... y trained as an MYP and DP English teacher in the IB programme. I love teaching the foundations of English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and pushing students beyond their perceived limits. My most rewarding moments are when students are able to be successful independently after we practice new skills together. In the summers, I teach job placement and leadership skills for teens. Hello! My name is Meghan, and I am passionate about making English Language Arts education relevant and accessible for ALL students. Entering my tenth year as an education, I am more convinced than ev... er that learning needs to be highly engaging and specific to the needs of each individual student! I currently teach MYP and DP English as part of a rigorous IB programme, and I love equipping students to reach their future goals! I have also spent over a decade as a youth worker, serving as a job coach for teens entering the work force.
