Reading & Writing have been my passion since I was old enough to go to the Library and pick up a book. I enjoyed exploring new worlds and creating my own stories about dragons and fairies, heroes and ... villains, and whatever else that came to mind. I developed a passion for the arts of literature that eventually expanded into Debate, Forensics, and the art of creating effective essays and speeches of all types. Here's a little bit about my experience: ● I have a strong teaching background (I am going into my 9th year of teaching) ● I have good communication and professional skills, love working with students, and have lots of patience and compassion for all students ● I have 8 years of experience as a tutor ● I have a TESL endorsement along with experience working with English Language Learners (students who speak a different language at home vs in school and struggle a bit more because of it) along with some experience with those who are learning English for the first time ● I have experience working with a variety of students from varying backgrounds ● I am well educated on how to develop skills over time while using strong communication skills ● I was also on the newspaper staff in high school for all 4 years, and after my 3rd year, I became editor, so I have lots of experience in editing papers ● I have experience in virtual teaching settings using Zoom and Google Meets. ● I graduated with honors at UNLV for my Master’s Degree. ● Was nominated for National Society of Collegiate Scholars by Wayne State University in undergrad, opportunity only given to students with high GPA’s ● Listed on the Dean’s List in the College of Education multiple times ● Given recognition at graduation of “Summa Cum Laude” status read more
