About
Hi!! I’m Minnie, born in New York and raised in Florida.
I was a pre-med student at the University of Central Florida. Currently, I am pursuing higher education and am a medical school student hopin... g to obtain my MD after a few years.
Being a native Floridian, there are lots of things I enjoy doing that have nothing to do with beaches and theme parks (although I’m a huge Disney fan). When I’m not working or at school, I love exploring national parks and gardens around the state. And if it’s too hot for that I enjoy sketching and writing novels.
I’ve been a tutor for about three-four years and in that time I’ve worked with elementary and high school students. Working with such a diverse age group has taught me to adapt my approach to students. My style is your style. My aim is to help individuals learn in a setting that is best for them: if you learn more in a naturalistic environment then that’s what we’ll do or if you’d rather we sit and drill a concept 20 times we’ll do that instead.
I’m a believer that tutoring is 60% student and 40% teacher. My goal is to not only help you understand the subject you may be struggling with, it’s to also help you develop your own style of problem-solving and understanding of the fundamentals of the subject so you no longer need me. I love tutoring and helping students present the best versions of themselves. Often times your introductions are first made on paper; whether that’s on a college application or resume. Presenting yourself in the best possible light opens the door to many opportunities and I can’t wait to help individuals do that!read more
